Privacy Policy and Security

Secure Transactions and Security Certificate

To protect your sensitive information and personal data, we use the latest encryption standards for safe transactions on the internet. Our server certificate was issued by thawte©.

Certified for the PCI Security Standard

Since November 2005 we have been certified for the PCI (Payment Card Industry) security standard. This entitles us to take online submissions of your credit cards by VISA, Mastercard or Amex.

Credit Card Handling

For your maximum protection, artelino does not store your credit card information permanently online. After having received your credit card details, we store your data on paper and delete the information from our server except for the last 4 digits and the expiration date and store your card information on paper. This may take from a few minutes up to 12 hours, but typically not more than 10 hours.

Our credit card policy is simple but effective. Data that is not there, cannot be hacked.

Privacy Policy

Our website may be used without entering personal information. For registered users applies the following privacy policy:

Use of Cookies

Cookies are small data files that are sent to and stored on your PC by a web site server. We use cookies to recognize registered users by their account number for convenient and secure access and for securing access to login-required pages.

No cookies are applied for users who have never created an account for artelino or for registered users who deleted the cookies from their browser(s).

Tracking and Logging

We do not track the behavior of users on our web site by tools like for instance Google Analytics. But we log security relevant transactions like account logins to protect your security and for compliance with the PCI (Payment Card Industry) security standard.

Social Media

The owners of artelino have always been skeptical towards the hype about "Social Media" platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and alike.

In springtime of 2018 we have opened several accounts on some of these platforms to explore the possibilities and see if it is really indispensable for a commercial company to be present on these platforms.

We do however not attach any buttons by Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and alike on our website for a good reason. When you visit such a site or click on such a button, you are/may be tracked by these companies.
