artelino is a small family business established in 2001, owned and managed by Yorie (American-Japanese) and Dieter (Bavarian), a retired IT-manager.
We are located in a small village in Bavaria near the Alps. It's a little paradise where high tech meets tradition and where people live in peace with each other. The only disadvantage: Shipments to our US clients are slow (DHL, USPS) - but reliable.

artelino is certified and audited every 3 months for the PCI (Payment Card Industry) security standard. This entitles us to accept your credit cards. To our knowledge we are the only PCI certified web site in the field of Japanese prints. We take security and privacy serious. Click on the seal to verify.
Artelino clients with an active purchase history have access to our archive of more than 50,000 Japanese prints with prices and detailed descriptions.
New: Archive Research - Trial Version
We have created a trial version for research in our archive. You can search by artist and title of Japanese prints. Results are limited to 12 items and functionality is pretty limited. But no account and no login required. The full version archive research for over 50,000 Japanese prints with large images, full descriptions and actual auction results is reserved for Artelino clients with an active purchase history.

Videos - Hand Selected
Enjoy a selection of videos on our web site. It is a slightly crazy mix of Japan and ukiyo-e related videos plus classical music, pop classic, good old rockn'roll, pop music from the 60s and 70s and Bavarian folk music. All videos have just one common bond. I like them - with one exception: the ones artelino made about 10 years ago. They are technically outdated and - well, I think they could be done better today..

Free Shipment Limit Lowered
We have lowered the limit for a free shipment without size limitations from $5,000 down to $3,000. The free shipment limit for packages with small SX sizes remains at $1,000 as before. Regular bidders in our auctions can keep their wins with us up to 6 months and then request consolidated shipping for ONE shipment fee or for free if the above limits are reached. For more and how to manage your Artelino orders, please read our shipping page.

A Bid Cannot be Retracted.
Different from other online auctions with Japanese prints we do not sell own inventory. The prints offered by us come from real consignments and we pay the seller for sold pieces on short term. Therefore, and for the protection of our serious bidders, you cannot retract a bid in an Artelino auction. Read our item descriptions well, and if you are in doubt about a print or if your financial situation does not allow it, please REFRAIN from bidding.

Bidders who nevertheless request that we retract a bid, are excluded from our auctions - forever.
