Works as art advisor and art historian and exhibition broker in Japan , Australia and Europe 1991 - 1996 Participates in three portfolios of The Hague Etching Club 1991 - present Art historian and art advisor and lecturer and free-lance curator. Description "Cui Bo Sparrows". Two sparrows are flocking around a twig. Cui Bo or Cui Bai (fl. 1050–1080) was a prominent Chinese court painter of the Northern Song Dynasty (960–1279). He was famous for his animal - plant paintings.
Like his teacher, Ryohei Tanaka, Chris van Otterloo was bestowed with sensitive artistic eyes and incredible dexterity. He is able to created countless shades and textures with the etching needles. But his composition and subjects are often more modern and abstract. He stated that many times he used several different plates to finish a work.
