||The Cat Was an Architect - The Broken Time|
||Makoto Sakuma born 1973 |
||A Series of prints originally designed for the illustrated
novel, "Neko no Kenchikuka" (The Cat was an Architect)
by the popular mystery writer Hiroshi Mori. In the novel, the cat had nine lives ... at least,
several of those ... in each lives, he was an architect.
He wandered around the city contemplating
about the architectures, their usage; their style; the
issues of forms vs. functionality; etc. But what about
the "beauty" ? What is it?
Could he ever find it somewhere ?
A cat peeks out from a hiking boot. He
was sleeping inside until the broken needle of a
clock hit the boot. He just woke up from
the dream of being an architect.
