||Toko Shinoda was born in Manchuria. At age 1 her parents moved with her to Japan. She was trained in traditional calligraphy. After world war II Toko Shinoda began to create paintings and print works in abstract forms. She is an internationally celebrated artist. Works by Toko Shinoda have been shown in museum exhibitions by the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art (Moma) and the Guggenheim Museum in New York - to name just a few.|
