Dear friends of Chinese woodblock prints

Bidding for auction # 206 is open on www.artelino.com/auction/catalog.asp and will close coming Tuesday, August 16 at 8:00 PM local time = 2:00 PM in New York. The auction offers 24 woodblock prints by Yu Chengyou, limited editions, signed and numbered.

Yu Chengyou, born in Shangdong Province in China, has exhibited in and outside China - Japan, USA, Vietnam. His print works are in the posession of Chinese and Japanese museums and of the British Engraving Foundation. You find a resumé on www.artelino.com/artists/yu_chengyou.asp

About half of the woodblocks are printed on a very thick Chinese paper and will be shipped flat; all others can be shipped rolled in a tube. Many of the prints are rather large, a few are very large. A tip: Hunt for the large sizes. Their prices are a top bargain!

The shipping of large prints costs us more than what we charge to our clients - mainly outside of Europe. Nevertheless, it is still rather high. We want to encourage you to save your shipping fees by accumulating wins from several auctions and have them shipped in one package on your request for one shipment fee. And if the total value is above USD 1,000 we ship for an even lower fee.
