Ukiyo-e Reproductions, September 5, 2004
Dear friends of ukiyo-e
This collection features reproductions from around 1900
of famous, classical Edo prints with mostly depictions
of courtesans and other beauties by such masters as
Harunobu, Eishi or Utamaro. The originals are either
no longer available or extremeley expensive and
furthermore aesthetically unattractive due to aging.
These woodblock prints made completely by hand
are beautiful, have a peculiar charm of their own,
and give the viewer the impression how the originals
may have looked liked at the time of their first publication.
Preview is now open on www.artelino.com/auction/catalog.asp?evt=161
and bidding will begin in less than two hours.
This auction will close coming Sunday, September 12 at 9:00
PM Central European Time = 3:00 PM in New York.
Please note: This week we are having three auctions all
together with always two auctions open for bidding
at the same time. If you have wins from more than one
auction, we consolidate all into one shipment and you
pay the shipment fee only for one package.
On your request we also keep your wins over an extended
period of several weeks, even months. And if your
total wins on "hold" are at least USD 1,000 (hammered prices)
we ship for free.
kind regards
your artelino team
