Tom Kristensen, September 20, 2005
Dear friends of woodblock prints
Auction # 221 is a solo show for Tom Kristensen, a young
emerging artist from Australia. The auction is running for two
days only on www.artelino.com/auction/catalog.asp and will end
coming Thursday, September 22 at 8:00 PM local time (CET) = 2:00 PM in New York.
Tom Kristensen, born 1962, is a passionate ukiyo-e collector and
printmaker from Australia who works in Japanese 'sosaku hanga' style:
self-carved and self-printed with natural Japanese pigments on
hand-made washi paper. Tom was first discovered by Eric van den Ing
from Saru Gallery, where Paul Binnie was first introduced.
This solo exhibition and auction will feature new prints by the
artist from the series '36 Views of Green Island'.
On www.artelino.com/articles/tom-kristensen.asp you find a
statement written by the artist himself.
And on www.artelino.com/articles/green-island-cunjurong-beach.asp
you find the beginning of a series of short articles that accompany
each of the designs from '36 Views of Green Island' -
also written by the artist. Tom is a perfectionist -
in his printmaking and in the way how he provides a
maximum of value for his collectors.
In our buy-out section on www.artelino.com/auction/catalog.asp?evt=190
you currently find 30 modern, Chinese prints, 15 Chinese
propaganda posters and several Japanese prints If you are
interested in purchasing a lot, please simply send us an e-mail.
Now is a good time for your consignment of Japanese prints.

kind regards
your artelino team
