Dear friends of original art prints

Bidding for auction # 180 is open on www.artelino.com/auction/catalog.asp and will close coming Sunday, May 29 at 8:00 PM local time = 2:00 PM in New York.

The new auction offers original Japanese prints, e-hon (old, illustrated Japanese woodblock print books) and modern Chinese prints.

Among the Japanese prints you find several Meiji triptychs, consigned directly from Japan and agressively priced. Comparable panels have recently been offered on the web for a multiple of artelino's reserves.

Among the Chinese prints you find this time only prints of reserves up to USD 200. It does not mean that the Chinese collection in this auction is 'cheap'. You find newly arrived impressions of the very popular small-sized designs by Hao Ping. Collectors should take a look at some very rare reduction woodblock prints by Ma Li and Zhao Xiaochun from the 1980s and 1990s. You will hardly find them anywhere else, let alone for reserves of not higher than USD 200. We can only offer them because they came with very early shipments from China in 2004.
