Nihon Minzoku Zufu - November 24, 2005

Dear friends of Japanese woodblock prints

On www.artelino.com/auction/catalog.asp we offer a small auction for the aficionados of sosaku hanga with a complete set of 12 rare Japanese woodblock prints: "Nihon Minzoku Zufu" - Pictures of Japanese Native Customs. This series of 12 prints was created in 1946 by top sosaku hanga artists - Umetaro Azechi, Hide Kawanishi, Sadao Kuroki, Masao Maeda, Doshun Mori, Kiyoshi Saito, Senpan Maekawa, Junichiro Sekino and Yasoji Wakayama. This auction offers the complete set in original folders and with a small title print and an accompanying pamphlet with descriptions for each of the scenes (in Japanese). The title page and the explanation pamphlet will be sent to the bidder with the highest amount of hammered successful bids in this auction.
