Dear friends of Huxian farmers' paintings

Bidding for auction # 195 is open on www.artelino.com/auction/catalog.asp with 40 hand-made paintings from a farmers' community in Huxian county in China. The auction runs over two days only and will close coming Thursday, July 21 at 8:00 PM local time = 2:00 PM in New York.

Chinese farmers' paintings are a recognized art genre. They have been exhibited worldwide and are collected by museums in and outside of China. We are presenting you 40 hand-made paintings on paper in gouache watercolor technique from the farmers' community in Huxian in Shaanxi province, the best known among circa 40 rural painting places.

Our first auction in June 2005 was a huge success with 38 out of 40 paintings sold. This time we offer paintings by Shen Yingxia, Pan Xiaoling, Chen Minsheng and Li Chuanmin.
