Chinese farmers' paintings are a recognized art genre. They have been exhibited worldwide and are collected by museums in and outside of China. We are presenting you 40 hand-made paintings on paper in gouache watercolor technique from the farmers' community in Huxian in Shaanxi province, the best known among circa 40 rural painting places.
Featured artists in this auction are Li Fenglan and Shen Yingxia. Li Fenglan is a highly regarded representative of the genre of farmers' painting in China and Shen Yingxia is his daughter. She is now continuing her father's heritage.
