The new auction offers affordable and beautiful Japanese prints all handmade by skillful artists and artisans in the 20th century or late 19th century after great originals of famous woodblock prints (ukiyo-e). The originals are today in museums, no longer available or extremely expensive or aesthetically unattractive due to aging.

Such re-carved editions are more and more developping into serious collectors items. The famous collector and art dealer Robert O. Muller had collected a large amount of 'fukkoku' during his lifetime.
