Chinese farmers' paintings are a recognized art genre. They have been exhibited worldwide and are collected by museums in and outside of China. We are presenting you 40 hand-made paintings on paper in gouache watercolor technique from the farmers' community in Huxian in Shaanxi province, the best known among circa 40 rural painting places. The fourty paintings are by four different artists. Twenty have been contributed by today's star painter, female artist Pan Xiaoling, born 1956. She is known all over China from numerous TV spots and articles in newspapers and magazines. This brave woman is really one of a kind.
