Dear art friends

Our first auction of Chinese propaganda posters has just opened for bidding on www.artelino.com/auction/catalog.asp. It will close coming Thursday, July 22 at 8:00 PM local time (CET) = 2:00 PM in New York.

This auction had been made possible thanks to the great preparation work by Chris TO, an expert collector in Hong Kong. You find his web site and other references in an article that we published on the subject on www.artelino.com/articles/chinese-propaganda-posters.asp. Chinese propaganda posters have become serious collectors items and prices have doubled over the last year with the major demand coming from China itself.

Opinions may differ on Chinese propaganda posters. But they are definitely a part of Chinese art history.

Of course, we are aware that this auction is purely experimental under commercial aspects. We are trying to show you something new every now and then. We want to share with you our interests, our discoveries and our knowledge by giving you not only just bare auctions, but interesting information about the artists and movements behind the art objects.
