Dear friends of China woodblock prints

Our new auction of contemporary Chinese collector prints is open on www.artelino.com/auction/catalog.asp. It will close coming Thursday, July 15 at 8:00 PM local time (CET) = 2:00 PM in New York.

This auction features reduction woodblock prints by Ma Li and Zhang Xiaochun in very small editions. Reduction woodblock printing is a technique to print a multicolor image from only one woodblock. The advantage for art collectors is obvious. After the first edition the woodblock is no longer useable for further copies - see www.artelino.com/articles/reduction-woodblock-print.asp

Hao Ping contributed 4 new designs of woodblock prints in smaller format to this auction. Other artitsts are Liu Chunhai with landscape and nature prints, Shi Yi, etchings by Yang Zhongyi and the young Beijing female artist Zhao Tianqi with one abstract single print.
