Auction No. 68 is open for bidding on www.artelino.com/auction/catalog.asp with 50 prints by well-established and well-known contemporary Chinese printmakers. Featured artist is Hao Boyi, one of the stars of modern Chinese printmaking. He is represented with 33 prints.

Hao Boyi, born 1939, is director of the China Artist Association and has different posts in half a dozen Chinese art associations. He was honored with a bunch of prizes on the occasion of exhibitions in China and in Japan. The edition size of the Hao Boyi prints in this auction is only 50. Among them are rare works from as early as 1972. The prints are signed, titled and numbered by the artist.

Hao Boyi shows birds and other animals in their natural environment. The artist's landmarks are cranes - a lucky symbol for the Chinese. You find his biography on www.artelino.com/articles/hao_boyi.asp

The early bird bonus is valid for this auction with USD2 for each bid placed within the first 48 hours.

As a result of the political rate of the completely undervalued Chinese Renminbi, you currently get these top art works for a prices not far away from what you would pay for good posters.

Most of the modern Chinese prints are huge in size. We therefore ship them in a tube. After the experience of more than 6 months we realized that our packaging was maybe OK, but not good enough. Starting with this auction, we will ship all Chinese prints with double protection. The print(s) are protected by an additional very stable round tube, the tube is wrapped with protective material and then this concoction is placed into a square tube.

Your risk is in any case zero. You have the right to return a print within 10 days without having to name a reason. And all artelino shipments are covered by insurance against loss or damage. Insurance is automatically included in our flat shipment rate.
