This auction features top printmakers from Yunnan province - Yang Yongsheng, Lu Runeng, Zhang Xiaochun, Ma Li, Shi Yi and Hao Ping. The prints of this most Southern Chinese province are as colorful and diverse as its subtropical landscape and its population of ethnic minorities. A speciality are reduction woodblock prints - a technique that was developed in Simao by young artists in the 1980s.
