Art Prints from Japan, August 29, 2004
Dear friends of Japanese art prints
With regard to the long Labor Day weekend in the U.S. we
decided to change our auction calendar on short term.
We merged the original Kogyo Tsukioka auction with the
Japanese Collector Print auction and run our "merger auction"
over one week until coming Sunday, September 5.
at 8:00 PM = 2:00 PM in New York.
Apart from 38 prints by Kogyo Tsukioka from the
series "Noh-gaku Zue" (images of Noh plays), this
auction offers original prints from the Edo and Meiji
period and from the shin hanga and sosaku hanga movement
plus contemporary prints.
And as a very special event, we can offer the number one
copies each of the first two designs of a new series of
tattoo prints by Paul Binnie. We were enthusiastic when
we had them in our hands for the first time. And we put
together some information and personal explanations by
Binnie plus some other current projects of Binnie on
www.artelino.com/articles/paul-binnie-edo-sumi.asp
By the way, Paul Binnie wrote an article about the
Noh Theater several years ago for artelino. You find it on
www.artelino.com/articles/noh_theater.asp.
kind regards
your artelino team
