Art Auction of Japanese and Chinese Collector Prints - May 8, 2005
Dear friends of Japanese and Chinese Collector prints
Auction # 176 with 207 lots of Japanese and Chinese prints
and e-hon (old, illustrated Japanese woodblock books) will
end in less than 24 hours on www.artelino.com/auction/catalog.asp
Sunday, May 15 at 8:00 PM local time (CET) = 2:00 PM in New York.
Dear clients, we must cancel the Chinese
solo-exhibition/auction planned for May 15. Under the
booming economy in China, it is becoming more and more
difficult to get new prints from leading artists for
reasonable prices. Works by artists like Cheng Hsu
(fish), Li Yitai, Sun Jiao (vases), Yang Yongsheng or
Zhang Hongxun will hardly ever be available again.
We still have some rather rare prints on stock, some
in very small editions, from earlier shipments.
You find several in the current auction # 176.
Collectors should take a close look at the works by
Ma Li, Zhang Xiaochun, Zhang Yongqing, Lü Min,
Li Yanpeng, Chen Yuping and others.
Instead of a Chinese auction, we will offer from
May 15, 8:00 PM until May 19 a small, but fine
auction with 12 woodblock prints in Japanese style
and technique by Tom Kristensen from Australia.
The auction was originally planned for June,
but thanks to Tom's great support we could finish
the preparations on short term.
If you have Japanese prints or e-hon to sell, please
contact us. A consignment to us brings usually
good results, and we pay fast - a few days after
auction end. Your consignment should have a total
value of least USD 1,000 if sent from outside
the US, and of USD 500 if sent from within Europe.
We charge 15% commission on the hammered prices of
sold objects, not one cent more.
You are not running any risks.
If we do not sell, no money for us.
For details of a consignment to us,
please see www.artelino.com/sell/collectors.asp
Enjoy the collection, and if you like our site,
please bid in our auctions and buy from us.
