The shipment fee includes everything - transport, insurance and packaging. If you order several items, the highest shipment class is applicable.

We ship for free to United States of America if a minimum value (hammered prices without commission and without VAT) of $2,500 is met (including orders on hold).

On your request we hold your purchases from several auctions up to 6 months and ship consolidated for one shipment fee. If you want to use this service, please change your account option to Consolidated Shipping = Yes. Consolidated shipping is not applicable for paintings and Tibetan art products.

Flat Shipment Fee

artelino charges you a flat shipment rate that includes everything - transport, insurance and packaging.

The shipment fee for your order depends on:

Shipment class of the item.
Your shipment zone.

If you order several items, the highest shipment class is applicable.

Shipper

We ship by National Postal Services. Outside Europe it is distinctively slower, but it is the cheapest way. And it is in our experience of more than 10 years very reliable.

How to Save Shipment Fees

On your request we hold your purchases from several auctions back up to 6 months and ship consolidated when you ask us to do so. We calculate the consolidated shipment as one order. If you want to use this service, please change your account to Consolidated Shipping = Yes. Consolidated shipping is currently not applicable for Tibetan art products (carpets, thangkas, statues).

How to Release HOLD Orders

When you want us to ship your accumulated orders on hold, you can release them from your account. Please select Orders and Invoices, next select from the drop-down menu Request Shipment of HOLD Orders, next check the orders you want us to ship and click the button Ship checked orders.

How to Get a Free Shipment

We ship art prints for free if the following minimum values are reached:

North America + M. East: $2,500
Germany: $800
Europe: $1,500
All Others: $4,000

Minimum values are calculated as the totals of all hammered prices without commission and VAT (where applicable). Total value may be accumulated over several auctions (HOLD option) up to 6 months. Please note that only art on paper (art prints) is eligible for free shipment.

Shipment Fees too High?

artelino is located in Central Europe. To clients outside Europe our shipment fees may seem high. But they are actually lower than what we pay. It is a problem of higher costs in Europe and of currency rates. Another factor are the sizes. Most of the classical Japanese prints (ukioy-e) can be shipped for reasonable costs as a registered letter. But larger prints like for instance nearly all Chinese art prints, must be shipped as a package. And that costs.

Please pay attention to the shipping costs of an item before you bid. You find the shipment costs of an item on the page of the detailed item description.

And last but not least, we recommend our clients from outside Europe to use our service for Consolidated Shipping. It is a win-win goodie, and more than 50% of our clients outside Europe use it.
