Payment Methods
artelino accepts VISA ®, Mastercard ® and American Express ®. We need your card number, your expiration date and the verification number - 3 digits for Visa and Mastercard and 4 digits for AMEX.
Secure Submission and Filing of your Credit Card
- Submit your credit card information over our secure line (SSL encryption) or by phone ++49-8178-9099666 or fax ++49-8178-9099667. Our secure line is certified by Thawte.
- As soon as we noticed the submission of your credit card (typically from a few minutes to several hours), we verify your card information, delete it physically from our database with the exception of the type of card, the expiration date and the last four digits, and file your card information on paper. For the short time while your credit card information is in our database, it is encrypted.
- You are eligible to bid.
- Since November 2005 we are certified by src GmbH and are compliant with the new security standards SDP and AIS by MasterCard and VISA.
Charging of your Credit Card
- A few minutes after the closing of an auction, we send a notification to all successful bidders. It contains a mini-invoice. In addition you can view your full invoice by logging in My Account.
- One hour after auction end we begin to charge the credit cards in our paper files of all winning bidders.
- We confirm charging by e-mail.
Zero Tolerance Policy
To assure a high quality standard of our auctions we practice a zero tolerance policy towards bidders with credit card problems that cause us severe or repeated trouble.
- Bidders from whom we cannot get the due amount at all ("no-pays"), are reported to a number of institutions, including the credit card issuer, and are made public with full name and address in our Seller Area - accessible to all consignors of artelino - dealers, collectors and artists.
- Bidders with repeated problems with credit cards - not valid or not sufficiently covered - or first-time bidders with such problems, are permanently excluded from our auctions. In addition we may publish them in our Seller Area. This is in the sole discretion of artelino.
