Payment Methods

artelino accepts payment by VISA™, Mastercard™, American Express™ and Paypal™. Clients from most European countries may pay by bank transfer. First-time bidders must submit a credit card.

Secure Submission and Filing of your Credit Card

  1. Submit your credit card information only over our secure line (SSL encryption). Our secure line is certified by Thawte.
  2. As soon as we noticed the submission of your credit card (typically from a few minutes to several hours), we verify your card information, delete it physically from our database with the exception of the type of card, the expiration date and the last four digits, and file your card information on paper. For the short time while your credit card information is in our database, it is encrypted.
  3. You are eligible to bid.
  4. Since November 2005 we have been certified once per year by src GmbH and are compliant with the PCI (Payment Card Industry) security standard.

Charging of your Credit Card

  • About 12 hours after auction end we begin to charge the credit cards in our paper files of all winning bidders.
  • We confirm charging by e-mail.

Payment by Bank Transfer (Wire Transfer)

Clients who opted for payment by bank transfer must instruct their bank to pay - using online banking, going to a branch, calling your bank ... depending on your arrangements with your bank. We do not use automatic debit transfer/ bank collection. You will receive artelino's bank details by e-mail after auction end in your winner's notification or your shopping confirmation.

artelino expects you to pay within less than one week after your purchase/auction end.

Payment by Paypal™

If you opted for payment by Paypal™ and you are among the winning bidders at auction end, we send you a payment request by Paypal™. We expect to receive your payment within one day, at the latest within two days after auction end.

Disabling of Client Accounts for Bidding

Accounts of clients who have any unpaid invoice(s) with us, are usually temporarily disabled for bidding (HOLD Status).

Zero Tolerance Policy

To assure a high quality standard of our auctions we practice a zero tolerance policy towards bidders with repeated payment problems. We exclude them from our auctions - for ever.
