Dear friends of artelino - I need your help. I am at a loss. We have started this auction of 24 newly arrived Tibetan tiger rugs, and nobody is bidding. What's wrong. The rugs were made especially for artelino after old designs in traditional nomad sizes of 3' by 6' (90 by 180cm). The quality is superb. The price is reasonable. We do not know of even ONE serious competitor online (if you know, let me know.). The shipment costs are much lower than our actual costs, and we are granting you for this auction a special no-risk return policy. But, alas, you are not bidding!
Please help me, and let me know what is wrong? My personal relationship with the people of Nepal and the Tibetan refugees in Nepal goes back to the 1970s. This is a personal thing for me, and I want to get this baby going! After all, it is a gorgeous product! - Dieter
"Oh I get by with a little help from my friends."
Give me your advice!
A few days ago we presented to you an opportunity to acquire paintings for a very attractive price by Chinese painter and printmaker Zhang Liufeng. In the meantime 4 paintings are practically sold - two to Chinese galleries and two to artelino clients. The sold paintings are "Listen to the Sea", "Music", "Grassland" and "Speaking". There are still 4 oil paintings available and one water color. We will have the sold paintings shipped from China toward the end of this week. If you are interested in one, please contact me now. If you need higher-resolution images, let me know. I can send them to you by e-mail attachment. - Dieter

We are proud to launch our first auction entirely devoted to Tibetan tiger rugs. We offer 24 pieces received only a few days ago from Nepal. All rugs are in traditional Tibetan nomad size of 3" by 6" = ca. 90 by 180cm. They were made exclusively for artelino after old designs. We recommend to read the book Tiger Rugs from Tibet by Mimi Lipton. We do not know of any other site on the internet that offers you a comparable selection of Tibetan tiger rugs. If you should know or find one, please let me know. - Dieter

Dear Friends, we are prolonging the auction 817 - Japanese Prints - by one hour. About 1-2 hours before auction end by mistake 11 prints disappeared and 4 new ones popped up. It is now corrected. Sorry for the inconvenience. Our mistake.

"Tibetan god, they don't look friendly. Normal people wouldn't like to hang this on their walls. I personally would avoid these if I was to see them in an antique shop because of superstitions believing that they have spirits attached to them. But on the other hand, Chinese and Japanese Buddha they look very nice and peaceful - more people would prefer these." (good advice from one of our clients. Let's see if he is right!) - Dieter

Thanks for a lively auction # 816 Hideaki and Yuichiro Kato with 68% sold 8 hours before auction end. But my personal, absolute FAVORITES have not yet been taken - Maple Leaves and Image of Kyoto. What's wrong? It cannot be MY taste? Or could it? No - They are soooo beautiful!!! - Dieter
12:12 PM - a few minutes later: Congratulations to die.yne.ing.15. You have an EXQUISITE taste!
Take a look at the auction!
A good client of ours asked if we had any more Yuichiro or Hideaki Kato prints beyond the ones offered in auction 816, ending Wednesday Sept 9. Our answer. We have 8 LARGE prints by Yuichiro Kato which we are offering ALL in auction # 817 (Sept 9-13). But that's it! With auction # 816 and auction 817 everything is on the table. No more prints hidden in our sleeves! - Dieter and Yorie
