The story of the Soga brothers is a popular and classical Japanese revenge story. It goes back to actual events in feudal Japan of the 12th century. Two brothers, Juro and Goro, were still small kids, when their father was murdered. When the brothers were grown-up, they revenged their father's death by killing the murderer in a spectecular scene at the slopes of Mount Fuji. However both brothers die, one in battle and the other one is condemned to death by the shogun.
