Wu Wanxi was born in Yuxi of Yunnan Province in 1977. She graduated from the print department of Yunnan Arts University in 1999 and became a teacher of Yuxi Teacher's College. In 2007 she was making her Master degree of Fine Arts at Yunnan Arts University. Wu Wanxi is a young female artist famed for her special printmaking technique called 'mixed media of oil-based and water-based color prints'. Her favorite subjects are portraits - both modern and from the Culture Revolution period - of females with light and soft pastel colors.

Mr. Yang Dehua passed away in 2002 - by far too early - after a long period of disease and hospitalization. The artist had worked at Qujing Art Institute in Yunnan as a painter, printmaker and art teacher for the younger generation of artists. His painting and printmaking in philosophy and figurative style had been formed under the old political era of social realism. During the last decade of his life, Yang Dehua had developed a passion for the culture and people of Yunnan and China's western provinces like Tibet. The artist exhibited regularly in China's top level art exhibitions and received awards at these art shows. His works were shown in several countries including the United States of America (New York) and are in many major musuems in China.

Zhang Baibo was born in Chingdao in China. Apart from woodblock prints, he uses an innovative technique where he carves an engraving on plates of plaster. It creates a relief effect. He perticipated "100 Views of Eternal China" project. Zhang Baibo has exhibited widely in China and abroad among others in the United States, Australia, Japan (1982: Kanagawa Prefecture Art Museum), Canada, France, Germany and India. His pastel colors and the tenderful designs with relief effect appeal much to Western art lovers.

Yang Yongsheng was born in 1967 in Qujing City, Yunnan province. He graduated from the print department of Yunnan Fine Art Academy. Later he became director of the Qujing Print Institute. His artworks are in Chinese and Japanese museums. Yang Yongsheng received awards at art exhibitions in Yunnan and in Canada. In 2005 Yang Yongsheng received a full fellowship by the Ford Foundation and began to make his Master of Fine Arts at the University of Hawaii.

Zhang Ji is currently (2007) an employed artist of Qujing Printmaking Institute. He was born in Huize of Yunnan Province in 1969. In 1991 he graduated from Yuxi Teacher's College and in 1999 from the Fine Arts Department of Yunnan Arts University.
In 2000 he finished his course of MFA (Master of Fine Arts) at Nanjing Arts University. Zhang Ji now works as a teacher of Qujing Teacher's College. He is a member of Yunnan Artists Association.

Zhen Zijiang was born in 1965 in Hei Longjiang Province. He is a member of the Chinese Artists Association and works as a first grade artist at the Bei Da Huang printmaking Institute. Zhen Zijiang has exhibited inside and outside of China - in Japan, the USA and in Europe.

Zhou Changquan was born in 1966 in Gai city of Liaoning province. After his graduation from Lu Xun Art Institute he worked for "Silk Road Company" as an art designer. He has attended many provincial and national art exhibitions and won some prizes. In 1995, Zhou Changqan established his own gallery, "Changqing Gallery" for professional art creation. He is a member of the Chinese Artists' Association.

Zhou Kunrong was born in 1985 in Dali city, Yunnan Province. Currently (in 2007), she is a fourth grade student of Fine Arts Department of Qujing Teacher's College. Her print work was selected for the 8th Yunnan printmaking Exhibition and obtained the outstanding prize.

Zhou Lu was born in December 1973 in Guiyang city, Guizhou province in the south of China. He graduated in 1997 from Tianjin Art College, Printmaking Department. From 2001 to 2002 he studied in Germany. He is currently vice professor at Guizhou Art College and vice secretary of Guizhou Printmaking Art Association

Zhu Jianhui graduated from the prestigious CAFA (Chinese Academy of Fine Arts). Today his art prints like "Faint Fragrance", "Ancient Musical Charm" or "Quintessence of China" are in the collections of several museums. These and other prints have won a number of awards, and his works have been shown inside and outside of China - including Europe and North America. In 2006 several of his artworks were purchased by the Olympic Committee of China.
