Since 1964 Hans-Martin Schmitz is one of the leading dealers in Oriental art in Germany.
He specializes in netsuke, Japanese woodblock prints and paintings, Buddhist sculpture and various works of art from Japan, China and South-East Asia. Since 1970 he exhibits at the Fine Art Fairs in Cologne and at the Antiquarian Book Fair in Stuttgart.
