Diane Genre has been a collector of oriental art for 30 years and owner of her gallery for 28 years. She speaks and writes often on the subject of antique textiles and Japanese woodblock prints and has spoken on various areas of oriental art to groups as diverse as museum groups, International Associations of Professional Physicians, bankers and attorneys, ikebana groups, investor's clubs and for private, social and business meetings. As a member of the Appraiser's Association of America, she is actively participating in appraisal work, including acting as the appraiser of oriental art donated to the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Birmingham Museum of Art, the Albany Museum of Art, Freer Museum, Baltimore Museum of Art and the Lowe Museum of Art.
