7th Kochi International Triennial Exhibition Saturday, January 05, 2008

Zhuang Yanjun's "Wa Nationality No.1" and Shi Yanqing's "Bridge" were selected for the 7th Kochi International Triennial Exhibition of prints in Japan in 2008. Kochi is the capital of Kochi province and on the southern coast of Shikoku. The exhibition takes place from March 15 to April 20, 2008.

Beijing International Print Biennial 2008 Great success for our artist Zhu Rui.

We have just received information from China that Zhu Rui's reduction woodblock print Impression of Dongchuan No. 2 was admitted for the Beijing International Print Biennial, 2008. This renowned exhibition is organized by the Chinese Artists' Association. Due to the olympic games this show will attract a very special attention this year.

We have ONE copy left of this print. Together with Impression of Dongchuan No. 1 we will offer it in auction # 496, starting January 2, at 8:00 PM local time.

Copper Prize Thursday, November 01, 2007

This print Bright Day won the copper prize in the 7th National Etchings, Lithos and Silkscreens Exhibition in 2000. An Bin graduated from Chinese Academy of Fine Arts (CNAFA) in 1984 where he had studied painting and printmaking. After his graduation he remained at the CNAFA in different teaching positions. In 1997/1998 he spent 6 months at Ulster University in Belfast as an exchange professor. An Bin exhibits regularly at the great National Chinese Print and Art exhibitions. His works have been shown abroad in New York and in Taiwan and in numerous solo and group exhibitions in China.

Awards for artelino's Emerging Chinese Artists Congratulations!

In the second Hunan Print Exhibition, several of artelino's emerging young artists won awards. Xiao Fuping, Wu Jian and Sun Xiuming won the silver prize and Xie Hanqing won the copper prize. The second Hunan Print Exhibition took place in Shaoyang city on September 22 and in Changsha city on October 19. The two cities are located in Hunan province.
