Kanichi MUTO  -  1892 - ?      Oita Culture Prize

Kanichi Muto was born in 1892 in Gifu prefecture. He graduated in 1915 from Kawabata Painting School. Later He learned woodblock printmaking from Unichi Hiratsuka. Kanichi Muto worked as a teacher and was active in different artist associations and movements. In 1950 he received the Oita culture prize.
