Saburo MIYAMOTO  -  1905-1974      

Saburo Miyamoto was born in Ishikawa prefecture. From 1920 on he studied at Kawabata Painting School. From 1938 until 1939 he studied in France. After world war II Saburo Miyamoto taught at Kanazawa University and Tama College of Fine Arts. In 1958 he became president of Japan Artists' League. In 1966 he became an appointed member of Japan Art Academy.
