Masanobu KITAO - 1761-1816

Masanobu Kitao

Masanobu Kitao was born in Edo and active as a painter, printmaker and writer, who illustrated his own novels. He was a pupil of Kitao Shigemasa. After 1785 he gave up woodblock printmaking in favor of his literary ambitions.
