Sadao Kuroki

Sadao Kuroki 1908-1984

Sadao Kuroki was born in Nobeoka in Miyazaki prefecture. He had studied Western painting at Kawabata Painting School and the art of making woodblocks with Koshiro Onchi and Unichi Hiratsuka. In 1951 the artist received the culture prize of Miyazaki prefecture. The print works by Sadao Kuroki are kept in soskau hanga style in expressive designs and colors.
