Shuji MORIYAMA  -  born 1890      

Shuji Moriyama was a typical artist of the sosaku hanga movment. He earned his livelihood as a school-teacher. Originally he had studied etching and lithography. Under the influence of the sosaku hanga movement he turned to woodblock printmaking. In 1939 he contributed to the series "100 Views of New Japan".
