Shigemasa KITAO  -  1739-1820      Painter, Printmaker and Poet

Shigemasa Kitao was a painter, printmaker and poet. His father was a book dealer in Edo and the first works of Shigemasa were book illustrations. He was active in actor and bijin-ga - print of beautiful women. The major activity of Shigemasa were book illustrations. He did some collaboration works with Shunsho Katsukawa.
