Kanji KAWARA  -  1897-?      Pupil of Senpan Maekawa

Kanji Kawara was born in Hyogo prefecture. He was a pupil of Maekawa Senpan. The artist's colorful woodblock prints do indeed show slightly the influence of his master. Kanji Kawara worked in the movie and theater industry and made only occasionally self-made woodblock prints. Therefore they are pretty rare.
