Tasuku KASUKABE  -  1903-1985      

Tasuku Kasukabe was born in Wakamatsu city in Aizu. He studied Western style painting in Kawabata Art School. He illustrated the Children's Stories by Miyazawa Kenji, published by Iwanami Shoten, in 1938. He founded the "Suisai Renmei" (Watercolor Association) with Susumu Kobori and Araya Naonosuke in 1940. He lived in Nakamachi city in Nagasaki.
