Seicho HASEGAWA  -  1916 - 2004      

Seicho Hasegawa was born in Nagano prefecture. He studied Yamato-e under Tadao Yoshimura and Bijin-ga from Sada Nakamura. His painting, "Garden" received an award from In-ten exhibition in 1953. He became a member of Nihon Bijutsu-in in 1957. "The Moon, Ishiyama" received the prestigious Inner Parliament Minister award in 1990. He was well know for his art works for Noh and the traditional Japanese dances.
