kyohei INUKAI  -  1913-1985      

Kyohei Inukai was born in Chicago but resided and worked in New York City. He studied at Chicago Art Institute, National Academy of Design, N.Y.C. Art Students League, N.Y.C . An abstract pattern artist using bright color with a touch of Miro-like fantasy, Inukai worked in a variety of styles from expressionism to constructivism and hard-edged geometric abstraction. A painter, sculptor and Haiku poet, as well as a print maker. His works have been in the collections of major museums and galleries all over the world.
