Shinichi KONNO  -  1916-1992      

Konno Shinichi was active in the end stage of the proletariat art movement and often depicted farmers, factory workers, coal miners and migrant workers. After the W.W.II, he made many "kami-shibai" with Koji kata. His works include book illustrations, children's books and newspaper illustrations. "Farm Land", "Black Tree" and other works are in the collection of the Niigata Municipal Art Museum.
