Kazuo Inoue was born in Kagawa prefecture. He graduated from the education - art department of Kagawa University. In 1988, he was invited to show his works in the UNESCO Japan Week Exhibition. The Kagawa Prefectural Museum purchased his series, "Woodblock Prints; The Tale of Heike" in 1989. He patented the paper - drypoint technique for producing the light and the darkness using black ink in 2006. He invented this technique 30 years ago.
