Mary BRODBECK  -  born 1958      Canadian Moku Hanga Artist

Mary Brodbeck was born in 1958 in Hastings, Michigan and grew up on a dairy farm near Woodland. Mary has specialized in moku hanga – woodblock prints made using all traditional Japanese methods and materials. She learned these techniques from Yoshisuke Funasaka in Tokyo. Mary’s images are most often of the Great Lakes. You can see her works in exhibitions in the United States, in Canada and Japan.
