Yue Yianweng, Yi nationality, was born in Luliang County in Yunnan province. In 1991 he graduated from Yunnan Art University. Afterwards he participated for two years, until 2003, in the Chinese Figure Painting Advanced Research Program of Chinese National Academy of Fine Arts. Now he is in the professional fine arts cadre of the Luliang County Cultural Center, a professional artist of the Cuang Culture Calligraphy and Painting Institute, a member of Yunnan Artists Association and a member of the Qujing Artist Association. Yue's paintings and calligraphy works have participated in national and provincial exhibitions many times and won several prices. For example his Chinese painting "Shepherd Song" won the Golden prize of the 3rd Contemporary Literature's Calligraphy and Painting Works Invitational Exhibition.
