Jiang MEIFANG  -  born 1972      

Jiang Meifang was born in Songxi, Fujian Province. She has been interested in painting and calligraphy since childhood and has received a degree in art from the Nanping Teachers College in 1994. Now she works as an art teacher in Songxi No. 3 Middle School and as a part-time artist at the Songxi Printmaking Institute. In 1997 one of her calligraphic pieces was awarded the silver prize in the “Calligraphy and Painting Competition of Two Channel Sides”. Another work, Livelihood, is found in Classic Works of Cross-century Artists. Her print Mountain Village Moon was published in Fujian Daily and other prints have been selected for the Fujian 5th and 6th Peasant’s Calligraphy and Painting Exhibitions.
