Tomonosuke OGOU  -  1898-1966      

Tomonosuke Ogoue was born in Kyoto in 1898. He graduated from the art design department of Kyoto Municipal Art and Crafts College in 1916. The artist received awards from numerous exhibitions at Nitten, Teiten, etc. He was a founding member of Soransha (1935), Shinsho Bijutsu Kogei Kai (1947) and a jury member of the Modern Art and Crafts Artists Association (1961). From 1949 until 1963 Tomonosuke Ogoue had taught art at Kyoto Municipal Art College.
