Shoichi IDA  -  1940-2006      

Shoichi Ida was born in Kyoto in 1940. In 1965 he completed a post-graduate study at Kyoto Municipal University of Art. Today he is an internationally well-known painter, sculptor and printmaker. Works by the artist are in major museums like Museum of Modern Art in Chicago, Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, Museum of Modern Art in NY (moma), Cincinnati Art Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, National Library of France in Paris or the Belgium Royal Library in Brussels. The artist exhibited widely all over the world.
