Masato TANIUCHI  -  born 1956      

Masato Taniuchi was born in Ishikawa prefecture. He is a self-taught woodblock printmaker. In 1981 he received an award from Nihon Hanga-in. And in 1987 he became director of the organization. Masato Taniuchi organizes solo exhibitions about six times per year and woodblock print workshops in order to introduce this technique to the public. His favorite subjects are cats, "Jizo", plants and landscapes.
