Ling Junwu was born in 1962 in Suzhou of Jiangsu province. In 1986 he took part in a teacher training at the Nanjing University, Fine Art Department. During 1995 to 1998, Lin Junwu attended advanced studies at the Chinese Central Fine Art Academy. The artist is a member of the Chinese Printmaker Association and presently works as teacher at the Printmaking Department of Chinese Central Fine Art Academy. Ling Junwu's artworks were shown in Japan, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
