Mayumi ODA  -  born 1941      Voluptuous Female Nudes

Mayumi Oda was born in Tokyo into a Buddhist family. In 1966 she graduated from the Tokyo University of Fine Arts and went to New York, where she studied at the Pratt Graphic Center. Since then she has exhibited widely in the USA, Europe and Japan. Her trademark are female nudes with buxom breasts and hips and very small and short arms. Her designs look vital and original. The medium is silkscreen and Japanese stencil printing.
