Nanko HARUKI  -  1759-1839      Nanga Painter

Nanko Haruki was born in Edo. He studied nanga painting under Masuyama Setsusai and Kimura Kenkado. Later he moved to Nagasaki and learned the Chinese painting style. Nanko Haruki became a well-known nanga painter and colorist. His favorite subjects were landscapes and kacho-ga.
